On December 1, 1955, Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat on a bus to a white man, sparking the Montgomery Bus Boycott and forever etching her name in the history of the Civil Rights movement.

But did you know that eleven years earlier, Irene Morgan refused to give up her seat on a bus, sparking the Supreme Court case that ruled that segregated buses – at least those that crossed State lines – were unconstitutional in the first place?
